What should you wear on your first day of work?

It could be a great challenge to decide on the right clothes to build a good impression on your first day of work. However, we could give you some advice to guide you on your choices to ease your first day of work.

  1. Adhere to the company dress code. Working in the creative publicity company where the style can be more lenient while formal in the lawyer company.
  2. Is suit recommended? In case if you don’t want to feel so dressed up, ask yourself these questions:
  • Do you think the company permits you to wear something casual instead? If yes, why not go for that!
  • Have a friend that could lend you a suit that has your size? Borrow it instead!
  1. Wear a few layers. Whether if it’s in a big or medium size companies, there’s always inconsistencies about the temperature and the air conditioner. So, wear various layers to adapt with the temperature or you could get too cold!
  2. Don’t wear materials that leave sweat marks. It wouldn’t look too good when this happens. You could get yourself stuck in an uncomfortable situation to be in.
  3. Comfortable attire. Be clear on what type of company that you are working for. You don’t want to be uncomfortable for the rest of the eight hours of the day.
  4. High Heels? Makeup? Perfumes? High heels could make you look good on a formal attire but be sure to bring a pair of flats in your bag so that you can change it if needed. What about makeup or perfumes? You can but don’t put too much or it could be annoying.

So, get dressed up well and be ready for your first work!
