Quitting your job with style and class.
Thinking of resigning, but not sure how to proceed? Here are four ways that could make it a little easier for you:
1. Put it in writing. The best way to handling such a situation is to submit a written resignation letter. Not only does it help to make the awkward conversation a little more comfortable, but it’s something to keep for your records – for your protection.
2. The sooner you leave the company, the better. We know you are awesome, but always remember that the company will get by without you. Provide fair notice, but ask to be relieved ASAP because you now owe your loyalty to yourself and your new job!
3. We advise you to expect a counter offer, but you would not want to bring it up as it’s probably the worst thing you can do during the resignation process.
4. Last but not least, speak to us! We at Adecco Malaysia would be more than happy to assist you to make this process as stress-free as possible.
